Limits consumption
Usage of Ahrefs data through our Looker Studio connectors will consume the plan limits against the tool that is being used. One exception is the Rank Tracker connector, which contains some data from Ahrefs Keywords Explorer. The relevant plan limits for Keywords Explorer will be consumed when data is retrieved for fields marked as such in the Rank Tracker fields reference.
info
Each requested combination of fields, filters, and configuration parameters (roughly equivalent to one Looker Studio chart) consumes one credit. Please exercise caution when frequently loading Looker Studio reports or updating chart settings, to avoid unintended overage charges.

Note that the data may be cached by Looker Studio, although this behavior is subject to Looker Studio's terms and may change without warning.
Reducing limits consumption
If a Looker Studio report containing Ahrefs data is expected to receive many views, here are some suggested approaches to prevent over-fetching of live data and minimize limits consumption.
Pause report updates
You can temporarily disable data requests while modifying your report by pausing updates. This allows you to edit your report without Looker Studio making actual requests to Ahrefs, thus consuming limits. Once you finish setting up the report's elements, you can resume updates to view the data.
See the corresponding Looker Studio Help Center article for more information.
Create and use an extracted data source
Looker Studio provides an “Extract Data” connector to render charts without relying on a data source’s live connection. It extracts a selected subset of data from the original data source to a new, static one. The extract can be updated either manually or automatically at a scheduled interval.
The "Extract Data" connector has the same restrictions as the underlying Ahrefs connectors on the fields that can be requested together. Therefore, an extract data source should be created for each Ahrefs Report Type that is used.

Download and distribute as PDF
Looker Studio can save a snapshot of a report as a PDF file. The downloaded file can then be shared offline.
